Zhuge Liang looks even younger than he did before. Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Xiahou Yuan, and Cao Cao look significantly older, and Sun Quan looks slightly older.I wonder if Zhao Yun's headband was inspired by Koei. Omg.They're now selling an of game + game guide + complete voice acting. Part of me wants to say that I should have waited for that to come out before getting the game!I'm still missing 30% weapons, 48% gems and 11% enemies after playing through twice (the second time on Hard). It'd be nice to know where to get them. I'm also missing 5 out of 9 stills, but I know at least 3 of them are from endings where the main character gets together with one of the female characters. (I couldn't bring myself to pairing him up with any of the ladies.

In the course of the game, the Trio of Lovin' scams your money (they claim to be fundraising for seniors displaced by war or something), and at some point they decide to make their own kingdom with the scammed money:Liu Da: 'From now on, the realm shall be divided into four. Liu Bei et al in the Shu camp (this isn't historically accurate, though, as historically Guan Yu never got to hang out with his brothers after Liu Bei went into Shu).Some locations from the 'Fantasia' part of the game:- An underwater palace- In the garden of the gods- The Passionless Grove- Waterfalls in the Valley of the Fallen, the secret haven and refuge for demonkind in the mortal realm:- Demons, in the mythology portrayed here, were once celestial beings who were kicked out of Heaven solely because they possessed instincts for chaos and killing. A convention of gods and immortals exiled these fallen beings to a barren, sunless land, separated from both the mortal realm and the celestial realm.Zi Shou (紫狩), a leader of the demons, desired a better habitat for his people. He discovered an ancient magic that created a temporary passage between the Land of the Demons and the mortal realm, and with the help of that magic, he led his people on an exodus to a better life in the mortal realm. Most of the demons settled in the Valley of the Fallen (落仙谷), which they built up as a beautiful (though slightly quirky) paradise.
There, they acknowledged Zi Shou as the King of Demonkind, and lived in peace and seclusion.(Official screenshots)The gods and immortals, however, were hellbent (no pun intended!) to keep the demons in their place, in the name of 'preserving the balance of the universe'. A celestial army, called the 'Angels of Fire' (熾仙軍), was formed to exterminate demons in the immortal and mortal realms. The immortals also rallied humans to their cause, and a veritable witch-hunt began (the Sima Yi picture in my previous post is a case where human forces was persecuting demons).

In order to protect the Valley, Zi Shou cast a powerful spell over it-but the magic exhausted him. He was tracked down by Xiang Dan, leader of the Angels of Fire, and was slain.Zi Shou: 'Xiang Dan. What are you fighting for? What do you live for? You have slain a great many demons, and yet all I see is more and more confusion in your gaze.' - Upon his last breath, Zi Shou told Xiang Dan a secret about the exile and extermination of demons-the truth that the gods and immortals suppressed (you don't find out what it is until the end, hohoho).
In addition, Zi Shou asked Xiang Dan to leave his people alone for 10 years-'Doubt all you will, but the truth will manifest itself in 10 years.' Xiang Dan was incredulous, but agreed to a ceasefire.Ten years later (AD 215), Zi Shou's son, Zi Cheng, became of age. Resolved to continue his father's mission to seek better livelihood for his people, he determined to manipulate the situation of the three kingdoms to secure a foothold in the mortal realm, so as to better protect his people and to legitimize their existence in this world. Right after he was crowned king and was ready to put his plans into motion, Zi Shou's magic on the Valley began to weaken.
