Hi guys,I worked as Technical Support for my office. My laptop was installed with Win 7 Pro 64 bit. I got this laptop from ex-colleague. I don't know if my ex-colleague has done any major modification on this laptop.Recently, I got a new colleague and my company provide her with a brand new pc, installed with Win 7 Pro 64 bit.Below are my problem description:1. Before this, I tried to install Hp Scanning Software Scanjet N6350 Full Package in my laptop but failed.2. I installed the exact same software on my new colleague, and I succeed.3.
I tried to correct my registry using a 3rd party tool, named Little Registry Cleaner. I thought my registry was broken.4. Re-install the software but still failed.5. Run Compatilibity Troubleshooter on installer, windows said the program is not compatible with my windows version.6. Re-run installer. The installer popup a window saying that its reading my OS as 'Windows XP 64-bit'I'm quiet sure, once I re-format my laptop, I can install the software but doing that will consume lot of time to setup back my laptop to be like before.I'm not so good on operating system.Posting my question here is my last resort.

Hi Babu,thanks for replying me. Unfortunately, all your suggestions still not the solution to my problem. Perform clean boot and install the software - failed.-there are no errors occur when I try to install the software as mention in support page.-re-install software still failed.
Windows Fixit - failed-I tried this before, but how can I select the program if the program is not install yet?-So, I choose 'Not Listed', and it directs me back to microsoft support page. Which is not helping.-I also tried choosing 'Name not available' option but the list is too long. I only tried several.Then, I browsed back to HP troubleshoot help website. They instructed me to remove all necessary files and folder, including HP folder in C:Program Files (x86)Hewlett Packard.
They also instructed me to remove HP registry (regedit). I restart my laptop,re-install but still failed. I also run CCleaner to clear my temp files.FYI, I noticed that there is 1 startup program named 'HP Scanjet N6350 Network Driver' when I opened msconfig.exe.
I thought that I've removed this program completely but it stills exist in startup program list. Is this maybe the cause of this problem?

Idon't know where else to remove HP files & folders.This is so irritating.
